Chicago Bulls Honor Scottie Pippen with Statue

Scottie Pippen, six-time NBA champions, Bulls legend and Michael Jordan's famous sidekick got his moment in the spotlight on Thursday night as the Chicago Bulls honored him at halftime with a new statue.

During the ceremony, Pippen gave credit of his success. to the franchise and the fans.
‘‘Without the push from [the fans], none of this would have happened,’’ Pippen said . ‘‘From the bottom of my heart, I really want to thank the Bulls organization, Mr. Jerry Reinsdorf, for this. This is truly special.’’
That's typical Scottie, always modest and somewhat uncomfortable with all of the attention.  Those are the qualities that made him the perfect No. 2 to Michael Jordan and how he endeared himself to so many Chicago hopefuls.
Nothing had changed and that's a good thing.
